This conceptual design envisions a tranquil 1,250 sq. ft. two-bedroom vacation home nestled along the idyllic Malibu coast. The space exudes a relaxed, beachy-boho vibe, drawing inspiration from the traditional dome-shaped grass homes and intricate weaving craftsmanship of the local Native American Chumash culture. These influences are reflected in the use of circular forms, wicker and rattan textures, and natural oak finishes throughout the design. A soft, harmonious colour palette of white, warm light greys, muted blues, and greens evokes the serene beauty of the Pacific Ocean, its pristine sands, and the gentle rustle of palm trees in the breeze.
