Kelsey Yates, Interior Designer
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, I am now proud to call Vancouver home. After more than a decade in corporate communications and marketing, I decided to follow my love for design and earned my BCIT Interior Design Diploma with distinction in 2022. My background in graphic design has given me a strong foundation in colour, composition, and storytelling, which I carry into every project.
Inspired by art, music, travel, and nostalgia, I blend timeless elements with modern functionality. Whether it’s the texture of natural materials, bold uses of colour, or historical influences, I aim to design environments that are both visually striking and deeply personal.
Outside of design, I’m a guitarist, avid foodie, and adventurer who thrives on connecting with others. My curiosity and diverse interests, spanning music to culture, shape my approach to design, allowing me to view every project with fresh eyes. I believe great design is about more than aesthetics—it’s about crafting spaces that evoke emotion, resonate, and inspire.
